Located at 88 Fulton St, New York, NY 10038, Sam Ping’s Chinese BBQ operates as a restaurant serving New York in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 AM–6 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Sam Ping’s Chinese BBQ at (212) 933-0172; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, sampings.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 76 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in New York and suggests consistent service.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and New York follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place is only for takeout. It’s great for a work lunch or quick pick up after work to bring for dinner! The cha siu over rice is only $5.99, and the meat was delish!! I also ordered a 2-meat plate that’s $12.99. I chose roast chicken boneless + roast duck. Both were great and tasted like authentic Chinese BBQ. I loved the boneless chicken. It was great to have that dark chicken meat without the hassle of eating around the bone. It came with rice and cooked cabbage. I liked that they also pack several sauces, including a soy sauce, chili sauce, and a ginger sauce.

The $6 special for their roast pork (char siu) going on right now is a steal! The char siu has great flavor and they really load it up. I also got the duck which was solid but would probably upgrade to the duck wing next time for more meat. All in all a great new lunch spot in FiDi.

First time trying this place out and I’m already thinking what I’m going to order the 2nd time I come back, I haven’t even finished this 1st meal yet. Haha. The price and the quality of the food here, considering the location, are unbeatable. This will definitely be ones of my favorite lunch spots during the my lunch break. Ordering online is recommended during lunch break rush hour, all other times are great for walk in. Don’t forget to try their Hong Kong Milk tea !

Food was delicious and we got good proportions. We encounter an error on the food ordering platform and it was resolved swiftly by the owner and staff. They are very generous. 👍👍👍
